Bariloche Mayor Goye Omar said he gave money to the cooperative May 1, accused of being responsible for the looting because Cristina asked him to do so.
“Last year I spoke with Mrs. President and said, ‘Omar, we have to solve the social problem and we have to give them money and labour to cooperatives. That is the responsibility of a good manager,’” the mayor said.
He added: “That’s what I did, and I just manage to make money and labour to cooperatives. And clarified that cooperatives already exists”.
Rio Negro Governor Alberto Weretilneck had accused Goye of having paid to the cooperative 100,000 pesos, according to him, to carry out looting.
“This would not have happened with the Gringo [by the late former governor Carlos Soria],” he reflected, adding: “I’m not part of Alberto Weretilneck project”.
