Tiziano, the four-year-old boy who was attacked by a Pitbull dog and suffered serious injuries to his face, is slowly recovering after neuro bone surgery.

There was skull sinking, detachment of an eyelid, facial lacerations and a deep bite on the neck, which fortunately did not affect the aorta.

“Now what worries is the risk of infection. They said it was wrong to have killed the dog because now we cannot know what could have infected,” said the father of the child.

The attack occurred in Lomas de Zamora when Tiziano was at his aunt’s house, the owner of the dog, which jumped on the child’s head when he was about to enter the pool. Nobody can explain why. The dog had been brought up with a girl of the same age and had never shown aggressive behaviour.

At the time of the attack, eternal minutes passed before the uncle was able to open the mouth to the dog, who had locked his jaw after biting the child. The pet owner strangled him with a belt to release the child.
