Summer Tournament: River beat Independiente 2-0

Two accurate headers from Rogelio Funes Mori allowed River Saturday to win by 2-0 to Independiente, in a match in which both teams played with alternates and young players, at the start of the Summer Tournament.

Funes Mori scored in the 41st minute of the first half and 19 of the final stage, this one when the Independiente was playing with ten men after Gabriel Valles red card.

Independent will play again next Thursday at 22:10, also in Mar del Plata, the Classic with Racing Avellaneda, while River will play next Saturday at the same time against Boca, in the first of three games planned for this summer.

Both teams faced this match with formations composed of young players, as usual were making headlines in the preseason-targeted sites.
