Public hearing on the subway ticket price to $ 3.50

The state-owned Buenos Aires Subway (Sbase) said Friday it will convene a public hearing on the rate hike to 3.50 pesos on service.

This was announced through a press release, which said the proposed increase from 2.50 to 3.50 “emerges from the analysis of the cost structure of the service, which was hit by the inflationary process that is registered in the country”.

However, the entity said “it will continue to subsidize the entire fee for retirees, pensioners, teachers, students and people with disabilities.”
