Cristina Kirchner visited Hugo Chavez at a hospital in Havana

Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner visited Hugo Chavez, who remains hospitalized in Havana, capital of Cuba, for more than a month.

Argentina president gave her counterpart a copy of the Bible during her visit to the hospital, also met with relatives of the Venezuelan president.

According to the President of Argentina, “This is not a visit for comment and interviews, but simply of solidarity and support with my friend who is a fellow who helped to Argentina when nobody helped.”

Before visiting Chavez, Cristina Kirchner, was at a dinner with the President of Cuba, Raul Castro, and his brother Fidel Castro.

The vice president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, is also in Havana and welcomed the visit of Fernandez de Kirchner, describing her as “companion of struggle.”

Maduro confirmed that the president of Peru, Ollanta Humala, wants to be with Chavez, using his trip to Cuba to discuss issues of bilateral agenda.

Since Hugo Chavez underwent an operation on December11, the Government of Venezuela does not spread any message, video or telephone call of the Venezuelan president.
