The picture that moves social networks

An image that captures a baby taking the doctor’s finger, who is intervening in his birth, has moved to social networks.

This is the first viral picture of 2013 and belongs to Alicia Atkins from Glendale (Arizona), when she was having her baby Nevaeh, who was born on 9 October.

Her husband Randy took the picture though curiously she is a professional photographer.

“The doctor called me and said: Hey, is holding my finger,” said Randy. “So I ran over there and I just take it … I was amazed watching. It was a stunning picture,” Randy said.

Alicia posted the photo on Facebook with the following message: “This picture was taken 10 weeks ago, when I was having my cesarean and Dr. Sawyer broke my bag and my daughter ran up my stomach and grabbed the doctor’s finger, and my husband caught this special moment.”

“We did not think we would have so many positive comments. We thought people would say it was disgusting (….) instead, everyone thought it was the best thing in the world,” the parents said.
