United States: The Senate reached a preliminary agreement to stop the fiscal crisis
United States, January 1, 2013
Senate Republican leaders arrived, this Monday night, to a preliminary agreement on a package designed to protect primarily the American middle class changing the tax increases, which was postponed for two months.
Now, with the support of Democrats in both houses of Congress they will vote on Tuesday in the House of Representatives, where Republicans are in control, and without whose support the new law cannot take effect.
The Republican majority in the House of Representatives, stated that: “we need more time to study the proposals, but we could vote this Tuesday”.
A delay would not adversely affect the situation, if the agreement is reached in the next 24 hours.
