Spain, January 1, 2013

The Coach of Atletico Madrid, Diego Simeone, told to the Spanish sports daily Marca that Messi “is most important” in a field that Maradona, although “he did not win a World Cup yet”.

“I think Messi is better. Diego has raised emotions, but Lio is more decisive. How many Champions League, World Cup and leagues of Spain did he win? Seems that journalism does not value the titles, but I say that, between the cracks, the best is the winner one” he said.

He added that he wants to “talk about it again when Messi is 28 years, for those who still have doubts.”

“And it’s not my case. At 24, though he did not win a World Cup, he has won everything else,” concluded Simeone.
