Pope Benedict XVI requested “peace in a world marked by inequalities”

Pope Benedict XVI at the 46th World Day of Peace, celebrated the New Year and requested peace in a world marked by growing inequalities, by financial capitalism, by terrorism and criminality ‘.
The Pope remarked: “Despite the hot spots and contrast caused by growing inequalities between rich and poor, by the dominance of a selfish and individualistic mentality expressed by a dissolute financial capitalism, and the various forms of terrorism and crime, I am convinced that the world is more peaceful than other ages”.
And he said that “the desire for peace is an essential aspiration of every man and somehow coincides with the desire for a full human life, happy and successful”.
“Peace is both a gift and a human work because it is peace with God by living according to his will.
