Farmers strike against La Rural nationalization

Agricultural producers enrolled in the four biggest started a strike after the nationalization of the Sociedad Rural Argentina fairgrounds in Palermo neighbourhood.

SRA head Luis Miguel Etchevehere predicted that the strike of livestock will “blunt” and warned it could spread to other agricultural items.

The hacienda cease marketing began at the zero hour of today and runs until Thursday zero hour.

The government revoked a decree of Palermo Fairgrounds after noticing a number of alleged irregularities in the process used by the Sociedad Rural Argentina to buy the property to the state in 1991.
