Trains and bus tickets to increase from Friday

The government announced a rise of 40 percent on average from this Friday, therefore the minimum ticket for train cost will 1 peso and 1.50 for bus with SUBE card.

The increase did not reach retirees, pensioners, beneficiaries of child allowance or pregnancy and veterans of the Falklands War.

The Minister of Interior and Transportation, Florencio Randazzo, announced in a press conference, “The move aims to achieve a more rational and more efficient subsidies from the state.”

“The President asked me to move forward with the segmentation of rates, because we going to allow more efficient use of the resources that the state allocates to public transport, as well as point to those who need subsidies.”
