A group of people from the suburbs of the city of Bariloche stormed six supermarkets and looted food and appliances.

The incidents occurred at the beginning at the supermarket Chango Mas this morning, with protesters from the Alto neighborhoods where social crisis has widened in recent times.

President Cristina Kirchner sent two planes with 400 gendarmes so that the situation can be controlled, as the Rio Negro police has failed.

The mayor Omar Goye had been informed of possible looting; therefore he made an agreement with the supermarkets to deliver Christmas baskets to the neediest people.

But it was not enough, a group of neighbors began to appear in front of the supermarket Chango Mas and tension grew with the passing hours, until the police of Rio Nero was present.

The neighbors then began stoning the troops and stormed the supermarket, looted food and appliances.
