Philippines: A strong typhoon leaves more than 50,000 refugees

A strong typhoon hit the southern Philippines, leaving more than 50,000 refugees and homeless.
Typhoon Bopha caused power outages, flooding and strong winds up to 200 miles from the time that reached the coast of Mindanao, in the east.
Numerous flights were canceled and no reports of injuries due to falling debris and trees.
A year ago Typhoon Washi left nearly 1,500 people dead in the country.
