Mexico: A man was eaten by ants

An old man living in indigent condition was found while dying, being eaten by ants in the colony Western Frontier City, Mexico.

Insects were eating him when he was still alive, according to local press reports. The man was taken to Hospital Pape Amparo de Benavides, but died on the way.

Doctors attending the elder said the insects had damaged several parts of his body, but particularly his genitals.

The victim’s identity still remains unknown. A friend found him in a small room where the old man lay, covered with insects, after not seeing him for three months.

The doctors removed the bugs and tried to help him giving CPR, but upon entering the hospital was declared dead.
