Guardiola was denied as the new coach of Brazil
Brazil, November 26, 2012
Jose Maria Marin, president of the Brazilian Football Confederation, denied Guardiola as the future coach of Brazil. “Hardly the new coach will be from another nationality. I have the greatest respect for Guardiola, but Brazil won five World with Brazilian coaches” he told to reporters.
After Menezes, former Brazilian national team coach, Guardiola’s name was one of the first to appear.
In less than anticipated, the possibility was ruled out despite the illusions of the Brazilian people.
Moreover, Marin said, “we have not spoken to any candidate to replace Menexes” but reiterated his desire to hire someone with “winning profile”
In this context, coaches with more options, according to the Brazilian press, are Muricy Ramalho, from Santos, Tite, of Corinthians, former coach Luiz Felipe Scolari, who is currently without a team, and Abel Braga, from Fluminense.
