Lorenzino to ask a review of Griesa ruling

Economy Minister Hernan Lorenzino talked about New York Judge Thomas Griesa ruling against Argentina and favor vulture funds.

Lorenzino said he is confident that “the U.S. justice will solve this issue in a raised through Thomas Griesa’s ruling in order to not affect Argentina and the international financial system.”

By providing this afternoon a press conference, Lorenzino said “this occurs in a context which is more evident than ever the importance of such decisions, when in terms of sovereign debt restructuring in various countries and regions “.

In a decision announced in the last hours of today, the New York federal judge Thomas Griesa rejected Argentina’s position against vulture funds, and issued a ruling which ordered to be paid on December 15 next all the value of the papers held by these holders, plus interest.
