The chief of staff of the city government, Horacio RodrÃguez Larreta, did not rule out a possible nationalization of the subway system, arguing that “all options are open” towards “better serve the people.”
“You have to study all the alternatives. We must do everything possible to improve the service for people and that means being open and see all the variations that may be. At this point we should not rule anything out,” he said.
The official added, “Today, we have to study all possible variants to improve service. If we nationalize the subway is because we believe it is the best alternative to improve service to the people, that is the only goal we have.”
He warned that the state, either directly or running it through a dealer as far, “should have a more active attitude control. So far it has been very relaxed.”
