The government will fine Edenor and Edesur for $ 158 million after the blackout

Federal Planning Minister Julio De Vido said the National Regulatory Authority for Electricity (ENRE) to fine companies Edesur and Edenor by the blackout last week.
According to the official, the companies will pay an estimated total of 158 million pesos, of which 129 million pesos for EDESUR and 29 million correspond to EDENOR.
“The delay in the return of service” is the main cause of the fine, according to De Vido.
Additional scheme is the information recovery for the affected users:
More than 48 hours, 450 pesos
Between 24 and 48 hours, 350 pesos
Between 12 and 24 hours, 180 pesos
As for distributors, for noncompliance with its obligation to supply energy, maintenance of service quality, parameters and proper warranty, fines will be an estimated amount of 18 million pesos to the company EDESUR and 5.5 million pesos to EDENOR, the ministry said.
