Messi broke Pelé’s record of goals with Barcelona
Spain, November 11, 2012
Lionel Messi continues to break records. With the two goals that he made today to Mallorca, in the Villanova team victory for 4-2, he reached 76 goals so far in 2012. So he broke the mark of Pele, who had turned 75. Now he wants to break Müller’s record, who made 85 in 1972.
The Argentine screamed in 64 for Barcelona and 12 for Argentina. “O Rei”, meanwhile, made 66 for Santos and 9 for the Brazilian national team.
Messi also has a better goal average: 1.29 against 1.41.
The next target will be to break the record of Müller, who in 1972 scored 85 goals, 72 with Bayern Munich and 13 with the German National Team.
