Randazzo suspends contract with Talgo, in charge of maintenance of trains

Interior minister and Transport Florencio Randazzo signed a resolution instructing the Operating Company of the State Railway (Sofse) to terminate the relationship with the company Talgo and its representative in Argentina, responsible for performing maintenance on those trains.
Last night the Ministry of Interior and Transport issued a statement explaining, “The measure applies under which the Federal Government intended to pay for the same annual cost equivalent to the value that comes out to buy a similar formation characteristics.”
Randazzo analyzed the situation with President Cristina Kirchner, alleging that it was intended that from June this year set a contract for an annual amount of 40 million dollars are allocated to the performance of maintenance of cars serving between Buenos Aires and Mar del Plata.
He decided, “There no need to pay that amount considering that the market value of an education as providing the service is about 42 million pesos.”
