Cordoba: “Fernet Fest” is suspended

Mendiolazala mayor Daniel Salibi had endorsed the Provincial Festival of Friendship, scheduled for November 24, to break a Guinness record, with 10,000 people drinking Fernet.

But that proposal was rejected by Córdoba governor José Manuel de la Sota exposing it in Twitter: “It has not our support. I am against alcohol sponsorship and rejected the decriminalization of drug use sponsored by the national government”.

Now Salibi says: “The party will not take place. I, from the municipality, I cannot do it. I am not the promoter of this event. We only put the place, our endorsement and control”.
