Redrado: “We got a tighten economy”

Argentina, October 28, 2012

Former Central Bank President Martin Redrado considered the project that drives the national government to reform the capital market, in the current context, as “a further tightening in the private sector.”

“It is clear that the President wants to use the National Securities Commission (CNV) as a body to tighten the private sector”, stated Redrado.

To the economist, the initiative “has other good points that are unclear.”

“We had a tighten economy. The Government believes that by tightening the private sector and business investment will achieve more, and they are using the AFIP, the Central Bank and the violation of tax secrecy to get their objectives” questioned.

In this sense, the economist said that “the focus has to be another, we should have a professional business plan, generate credit incentives to encourage investment and to attract the amount of dollars that are now in the mattresses of Argentines.”
