Del Potro defeated Federer and became champion in the ATP of Basel

In a great match, Juan Martin Del Potro defeated Roger Federer 6-4, 6-7, 7-6, winning the Basel Open. The tournament, which takes place in indoor cement, distributed 1,404,300 euros in prizes.
The man from Tandil had beaten the French Gasquet 6-2, 6-2, to reach his second consecutive final and fifth so far this year.
With this result, the Argentine ranked this week at London Masters, contest that gathers the top eight players of the year from 5 to 12 November.
For his part, Federer, world number one and local hero, came after beating the French Paul-Henri Mathieu 7-5, 6-4.
The balance was negative for Delpo, 13-2 down, but in the final two games he demanded the Swiss to the limit. Today, he finally was able to show that there was only needed one last adjustment to succeed.
