The province of Buenos Aires promotes the vote since 16 years old

In parallel with the project promoted by the national government, the government of the province of Buenos Aires will present a project in the provincial legislature for young people to vote at 16 years old.

“The reform that we are promoting responds to the main objective from the Province of Buenos Aires extending political rights and political participation addressed in Congress,” said the chief of staff Aires, Alberto Perez.

For its part, the initiative promoted by the ruling party received initial approval in the Senate. The House of Representatives will begin debate on the project next week.
