Carlos Lijoi Cárcano the citizen who got an injunction to buy 2000 Euros at official price to travel to Italy couldn’t complete the process of obtaining foreign exchange.

Carlos Lijoi Cárcano believed his trip to Italy, which should be today, where he will see his family for the first time, it was a fact, but AFIP does not validated the purchase of 1,152 euros, despite the decision of the Court of Tierra del Fuego who ordered it.

Although the collection agency had appealed the judgment, last night finally cleared the way for the operation. However, the attorney Lijoi Carcano, Hector Montero, reported this morning that there is not a validation of that authorization.

“In theory he was allowed to buy in the official market the euros to complete the 2,000 we had originally petitioned, but this morning we got the surprise, as it happens to everyone: when he entered the website of the AFIP, he was not allowed to continue with the process,” said the lawyer.

The man asked for 2000 euros and the agency only validated the purchase of 848 euros, and obtained a favorable ruling to acquire the difference of 1,152 euros remaining.
