Actress Angelina Jolie talked to her children about the tragic of Pakistani girl shooting Malala Yousafzai , the 14 years old activist.
Angelina said, “I felt compelled to share the story of Malala with my children. It was difficult for them to understand a world in which men try to kill a child whose only ‘crime’ was the desire of others like her are allowed going to school. “
“Our son Pax, 8, suggested to build a statue of Malala and to create a reading corner near her.”
“Our son Silo, 6, asked if Malala had a pet and who would care for her and also asked parents about Malala and if they were crying.”
She continued: “The next morning the news featured photos of children across Pakistan holding the image of Malala and praying in schools.”
“My son was worried that the girls were shot to defend Malala. I said that they were aware of the danger, but their support reflects what Malala means to them. All Pakistanis should know the importance of education and courage inspired them. “
