Argentina beats Uruguay 3-0 with two goals from Messi and Agüero in Mendoza for the ninth round of the playoffs heading to the World Cup Brazil 2014.
In the first half, there was a very close game. The Uruguayans put strong resistance and Argentine forwards failed to penetrate their defense, except for some genius of Messi that became no goal. One was when the Rosario man passed three Uruguayan defenders and stung the ball brilliantly, but it hit the crossbar.
Goals:
At 20 minutes into the second half, Messi passed the ball to Di Maria, who with a precise touch back it to the Barcelona player who slide it into the net and open the scoring.
At 29 minutes, Argentina extended the gap with a goal from Aguero, after a pass from Di Maria, following a combination with Messi.
And the icing on the cake came in the 34th minute when Messi performed a free kick flush of grass and put the ball into the bottom left corner of Muslera.
