U.S. President Barack Obama launched a campaign spot in Spanish, to attract the votes of Hispanics in the North American country, facing elections that will take place in November.
Titled “good example”, the president addressed the “dreamers”, Hispanic youth who came to the U.S. with their parents illegally. They grew up and studied in the country, but remain outside the law. They dream with the law “Dream”, which would give them citizenship.
These young, Obama says in the spot, “respect their parents, study to excel and want to contribute to the only country they know and love. Their courage has reminded me that no obstacle is too big.”
The announcement will be in different states, where the concentration of Hispanics is higher, such as Colorado, Florida, Nevada, Ohio and Virginia. Obama has the acceptance of at least 70% of this community, while his opponent, Mitt Romney, owns the rest.
