The Pope’s former butler was sentenced to 18 months in prison

Paolo Gabriele, the Pope’s former butler was charged with aggravated robbery and the Court sentenced him to one year and six months imprisonment, now they need to indicate the type of closure.
The verdict was read on Saturday October 6th at 12:15 by Chief Justice Vatican, Giuseppe Dalla Torre, after the court deliberated for two hours.
Dalla Torre announced the sentencing to three years requested by the prosecution and was reduced to 18 months, and payment of legal costs by mitigating.
The criminal case was brief, only four hearings were held and concluded today.
