Seizure of schools: The curriculum changes were suspended until 2013

Buenos Aires Education Minister, Esteban Bullrich, reported that curriculum changes for secondary schools shall be suspended until 2013.

The minister explained that the changes will be discussed at meetings in 9 meetings next year, with the participation of students.

Student Nicholas Cernadas said the proposal “exceeded expectations” in the coming hours and will decided in assemblies “the continuity or not of the protests” to reject curriculum changes.

Former lawmaker Gonzalo Ruanova, present at the meeting, said that with this result “was demonstrated that students can be part of the construction of educational projects”.
