Buenos Aires Mayor Mauricio Macri announced that Tuesday will be held the first legal abortion after the passage of the bill in the Legislature.
This would be a 32 year old woman who was a victim of human trafficking. Resolution 1252 was signed by the Buenos Aires Minister of Health Jorge Lemus and it sets the next steps “for cases in which a woman seeks an abortion because their health is in danger or because he was the victim of a rape.”
On September 10 last the law was passed with 30 positive votes and 29 negative from PRO party and its allies, six months after the Supreme Court ruling the legal abortion.
With the announcement of Macri, it is ruled out that the government chief veto the bill.
