The match between Argentina and Brazil was suspended for a power outage in the Estadio Centenario in Chaco when the game was about to start at 10 pm.
After 40 minutes, the Chilean referee Enrique Osses ordered the players, who until then had waited on the court, back to the locker room.
Finally at 11 pm, the authorities decided to suspend the game.
“It was not possible to overcome the problem in stage lighting, we expected a reasonable time and no new date for the dispute of this meeting,” said Germán Lerche, president of Colon and the national teams commission.
Lerche also said that the game may not play tomorrow because “it is impossible, as both teams have to return the players to their respective teams for their league matches.”
