Gendarmerie: “We are not coup”

Gendarmerie spokesman Raul Maza answered Congressman Juan Cabandié accusations about an alleged attack on democracy, ensuring that it’s only a wage claim.
“We are not rebels, what we are doing is working a claim as all workers living in this country. We present a petition and we hope to receive an answer,” said Maza.
“Our superiors are taking the request to national authorities officially and want it back signed,” he added.
“Once that happens, we will return to our jobs,” he said. “We want to return to our jobs. We are offspring of democracy,” he said.
