Cabinet Chief Juan Abal Medina blamed Prefecture by cuts in salaries that affected most officers and said they will earn the same as the previous month.

He assumed that the changes in assets must have arisen by administrative errors, but still said he will investigate these “anomalies”.

“In fact, the Prefecture application was downright disastrous. 9985 prefects earn the same or more than before, but in 561 cases we do not know if this was a specific management problem or if there is somebody who want to maintain privileges,” said Abal Medina.

The chief ministers explained that there will be just for this time a compensation payment for agents who earn 12,500 pesos or less in order they get the same as the previous month.”

Moreover, the official added: “We have resolved that the forces are not self-assess wages. From now on, the ministers of safety and economy are going to pay. “
