Fourteen prisoners escaped from a police station of Rosario
Argentina, September 30, 2012
The incident occurred at 5:30 am at a police station in the south of the city, where there remained housed 26 prisoners. There, one who was arrested yesterday for an attempted robbery, took advantage of a distraction of the guard and broke the padlocks of his cell with a crowbar.
The inmate did the same with other cells, allowing the escape of another 13 detainees who ran by the interior of the building industry and through the roofs of neighboring houses.
The guards who served at the time of the leak were submitted to an internal investigation, said Commissioner Daniel Corvelini, chief of police.
For now, they had recaptured six of the fourteen who escaped.
