Fox News apologized for broadcasting a suicide on a live transmission

United States, September 29, 2012

After filming a chase in the state of Arizona, the news channel Fox News broadcasted the moment in which the fugitive committed suicide shooting himself in his forehead. Now, the network apologized for broadcasting that situation.

In the U.S., the transmissions of persecutions are normal, but they use to broadcast them with a few seconds of delay to prevent inappropriate scenes. However, something went wrong and they transmitted when the perpetrator got out of the stolen car and shot himself in his head.

“Actually we were wrong. We are all very sorry. Such images should not have been shown,” said still shocked by the event Shepard Smith, host of informative channel.

“Personally, I apologize about what happened. That was wrong and will not happen again under my responsibility. I’m really sorry” he concluded.
