A 13 year old boy is forced to trudge while his grandfather collects garbage for recycling in the streets of China.

Manqi Jiang’s family can not afford to seek medical help to treat his epilepsy, so he is tied on a moped in order “to take care of him”.

The child, who was abandoned by his parents, has no access to schools and is too poor to have medical aid. His Grandpa is the only person who cares for him.

The 60 year old man goes every day to Fuzhou, Fujian Province, to collect garbage.

Grandpa said to CEN: “It breaks my heart, but what else I can do? His parents abandoned him and I have all his family.”

“The rope prevent he is wandering for the streets or falling into traffic. It’s all I can afford.”
