The Education Minister Alberto Sileoni, defended the project proposed for the optional vote among 16 years to 18.
“Can a 16-year-old be manipulated? Of course,” he said in a radio interview Sileoni, but added: “A lady of 60 [years] who wathces TV all day can also be manipulated.”
“The task of the school and the media who are working for the truth is that no one is manipulated and that 16 year-old kids have autonomy to think for themselves, to be emancipated,” he said.
