U.S. president Barack Obama is trying to capitalize on the controversial statements of Republican candidate Mitt Romney against the poorest.

“There are 47% of the people who will vote for the president no matter what”, Romney said during a meeting.

“There are 47% who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe that government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to healthcare, to food, to housing, to you name it,” he added.

Given these harsh words, Obama countered by saying that “one of the things I learned as president is that one represents the whole country. My opinion is that if you want to be president, has to work for everyone, not just for the few” .
