The mystery of the legendary tango singer ended: His birth certificate with his country of origin was found.

Carlos Gardel was born in France, according to the report said that researchers were able to unearth the artist’s life.

The group, made up of Argentina’s Juan Carlos Esteban and the French Georges and Monique Gallop Ruffié, published in the book Gardel’s father’s birth French singer, explaining the origin of the confusion about his nationality.

“He was born in Toulouse. Came to Argentina when he was at 2 years and 3 months in 1893, with his mother. No more companions,” they explained.
