Cristina Kirchner announced changes in the Labor Risk Law and mobile taxes for biodiesel

September 19, 2012

The president, Cristina Kirchner, announced she will send to Congress amendments to the Labour Act Risk for faster action. She also announced an agreement with the business chambers of biodiesel to apply mobile export tariffs on exports to be reviewed every 15 days.

We arrived at a good deal, I want to thank you for your presence. We will continue working as we have always, for the benefit of the Argentines.

I signed on the day of the date, a bill and three important decrees of interest to employers and employees, and thus the whole country.

After many meetings, debates, natural differences, finally, today, in the ministry of Labour, employers and organized labor agreed to a change in the law of accidents to be sent to Congress.

I have signed a decree which established the mutual ART (Labor Risk Agencies). This is nonprofit ART. They can be set by entrepreneurs, business associations and unions. They must have, by law, the name “mutual ART” because it identifies nonprofit. It was long claimed and will improve costs and economic competitiveness.

We also make a readjustment of biodiesel import duty, which we had done the last time a month ago. Look market volatility and the need for flexibility.

They began to discuss a solution and was to the sliding tax. They came, both houses, the small and medium producers and large producers to seek export duties to be updated every 15 days.
