The Mint reported that the first million dollars in 100 bills with the image of Evita, are about to leave for regular circulation.

The agency accused the media of generating false information about an alleged design flaw in the bills and therefore would not be distributed.

“The press used lies, distort and deform technical data,” says a statement from the Mint.

It adds: “The national monetary authority has all the technical information needed to make the new banknotes in circulation”.

“It is a lie that is redesigning the ticket or there are problems with security inks and that the design is the same presented by Cristina Kirchner and ink mixing is done without any inconvenience,” the statement said.
