Shocking video of a girl playing with a gorilla

A girl playing with a gorilla is an unusual scene, but it happens in this video that has shocked the world.

The images were taken 20 years ago when Tansy Aspinall was just 18 months old and his father Demian was the cameraman.

He runs an organization that seeks to rehabilitate and return to the wild animals that have been threatened.

“This is a video of the family,” says Demian. “If we can show to million how docile people, noble and beautiful are these animals, then I think we are doing a service to the gorillas,” he added.

Tansy, now 23, agrees. She says: “I obviously understand that people might find quite shocking to see a baby with a gorilla because that is the way they have been educated. But actually gorillas are so wonderful and docile, and are so similar to humans.”
