After the scandal, the new cover of Noticias magazine

The Senate voted largely repudiation to Noticias magazine for its cover titled “The Cristina enjoyment”, where it was published an erotic picture of the president taken from a video of a rock band.

The Upper House understood that “it was an attack on the president dignity”. “We do not like to address these issues. We believe in the free exercise of journalism,” said ruling congressman Miguel Pichetto, but “one thing is when there is discussion within the political, institutional scenario, but otherwise is when it falls on the offense, assault to the dignity of a women and mainly to the presidential figure,” the official added.

Now, Noticias publishes a new cover, where there is only one line that says: “This is the cover the government wants” on a white background absolutely stripped, except for the logo.

A note of the publication notes that “Gustavo Gonzalez, former director of the magazine explains why this administration and previous would have preferred that the magazine does not exist: proof that authoritarianism has no gender.”

And the author of the article “The Cristina Enjoyment” asks “Why is it offensive to analyze the eroticism of power?”
