The Government will not give more subsidies to the subway in 2013

Starting next year, the Government will deposit no more subsidies to the subway, according to what was learned from the new budget. This implies that the city government should take over the service completely.
It’s $ 720 million pesos that were not destined for the public transport and now must come from the coffers of the of Buenos Aires City.
Buenos Aires Mayor Mauricio Macri will face not only the economic but also the difficult dialogue with unionists, who already considered the official as the unique responsible.
Regarding the budget, to be approved in October or November, Vice President of the Finance Committee of the Lower House, Fernando Yarade, said it is expected growth of 4.6% and an inflation rate of 8.9%.
