Barcelona: Millions of people in a march for independence in Catalonia

About a million and a half people were mobilized throughout Catalonia claiming that the money they contribute to the Spanish State is cut down.
Millions of people took to the streets of the capital of the region to demand a new fiscal pact between the Central State and Catalonia.
The theme of the march was “Catalonia, new nation of Europe”, and called for a reduction in the contributions they make autonomous region of Spain.
According to the Catalans, the area provides 16 billion euros to the central state, affecting the economy of Spain’s richest region in terms of GDP per capita.
