The grocery bags will no longer be delivered as usual as in a month will have an additional cost to the consumer, following the orders of the 1854 law, enacted by the Legislature of Buenos Aires.

The bags are now larger and stronger after it was determined that 75% of the locals use them for trash. They have different colors in order to separate waste.

Major supermarket chains like Jumbo, Carrefour, Coto, Disco, Walmart or Vea, begin to implement the measure even before the provisions of the law, so that customers get used. Still, even they did not specify the cost of the bags.

Anyway, the authorities recommended the neighbors to bring their own shopping bags to reduce the amount of plastic bags used per year.
