Taringa owners to trial

Site administrators of Taringa.com, brothers Matias and Hernán Botbol and Alberto Nakayama will go to public trial after the judge’s decision of Eduardo Daffis Niklisson to grant the request of the prosecutor Krasucki Felisa.
Young people are accused of “violation of copyright law by allowing through their web to illegally download works without authorization.”
It is the first time to be discussed at a trial, the responsibility for the websites to download music, movies, books, etc., which are protected by intellectual property.
The Botbol and Nakayama are charged with illegally downloading 29 legal works and 12 computer books, but there are other cases pending for music files.
