Jujuy: One dead in an attempted usurpation

A resident of the town of Humahuaca died yesterday in a clash with a group of people who tried to occupy a land where a family lived. They decreed three days of mourning.

The City Council of Humahuaca established three days of mourning for the death of young Daniel Condorí, “Pato”, during the confrontation between neighbors and members of the organization “Titi Guerra”, who attempted to usurp a land in the city.

The organization tried to take land inhabited by a family of Humahuaca and found unexpected resistance: The villagers took the matter in hand and casted them out.

In the confrontation, villagers torched two buses and two trucks four by four of Marmoset War, and managed to oust the usurpers.

Meanwhile, the young man was shot Condorí sources are still unknown and died. Villagers point to the social organization, but it denies that carried arms.

There are about fifty prisoners, who were taken from the regional police unit Humahuaca to San Salvador de Jujuy, where they await trial.
