In a press conference, the Federal Planning Minister Julio de Vido announced that after evaluation of bids was decided to annul the tender “for reasons of opportunity, merit and convenience.”

By Resolution 71/12 he indicated that the frequencies were assigned to the company Arsat “in view of its strategic role in the implementation of state policies in telecommunications, broadcasting and internet, with the technical advice of the National Commission Communications”.

Planning Minister Julio De Vido said the company ARSAT will have “almost 25% of the 3G frequency, as a corporation of the State” and remarked: “It will not take a witness participation but a balancing participation in market “.

In this regard, he said that there will be “cooperative and SME participation in the interior, which until now have been impossible to even dreamed to provide cellular telephony, that is the business that has greater profitability.”
